Bangladesh Nationalist Party Secures Majority in National Elections

Kathmandu. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has secured a majority in the general election of Bangladesh. Local media have reported that the BNP has won 209 out of a total of 300 seats. With this, Tarique Rahman, son of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and current BNP Chairman, is certain to become the Prime Minister.More than 127 million voters in the country cast their ballots on Thursday.
