Myagdi. Annapurna Rural Municipality has decided to erect a statue in his birthplace in honor and memory of the late record-breaking mountaineer Nirmal Purja (Nimsdai).The decision was made at a meeting of the Rural Municipal Executive today to erect a statue of Purja, who led a 10-member mountaineering team that was buried in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan on August 14, losing their lives.
