Mohammad Golam Sarwar, who was appointed Secretary-General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) three years ago, was told by President Ram Chandra Paudel that along with the main objectives of SAARC, new challenges have been added to save the Himalayas and conserve water sources due to the effects of climate change currently seen in the Hindu Kush Himalayan region.
