Supreme Court Issues Show Cause Order in Habeas Corpus Petition Filed by Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has issued a show cause order in the habeas corpus writ petition filed by former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. On Monday, the bench of Supreme Court Justice Kumar Regmi ordered the presentation of the written reason for Lekhak's arrest. The habeas corpus writ was filed on Sunday demanding the immediate release of Lekhak, alleging illegal detention. The petition was registered by Yashoda Lekhak on behalf of Congress leader Lekhak, who was arrested for investigation into the incidents of the 'Janjati' agitation on Bhadra 23 and 24.
