Police have arrested Sharmila Shahi, the second daughter-in-law, on suspicion of murdering 75-year-old Gangaram Shahi with a sharp weapon in Panga, Ward No. 5 of Junichande Rural Municipality. According to the District Police Office, Jajarkot, Gangaram Shahi was found dead near the stairs of his house on the night of July 26 (Shrawan 11) around 8 PM, having been attacked with a sharp weapon on his neck.
