Former Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada Accuses Government of Weakening Nepal Rastra Bank Autonomy

Kathmandu. Former Finance Minister and former Governor Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has accused the current government of trying to weaken the autonomy of Nepal Rastra Bank by changing the law itself.  Speaking at a program on 'Existing Challenges in the Banking Sector and the Economy' organized by 'Artha ko Artha' in Kathmandu, he claimed that the central bank is being made a government auxiliary body by reducing the governor's tenure.
