Netflix iOS games could take a different route, compared to Android

Netflix recently announced the introduction of a mobile game service for Android customers, confirming its push into gaming. Additionally, Netflix has stated that it is working on making the gaming service available to iOS customers as well. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, doing the same may be difficult due to Apple's App Store restrictions prohibiting Netflix from making games available through its app. Other third-party applications are currently not allowed to provide apps within the App Store. This is also why Xbox Cloud Gaming and Google Stadia have yet to arrive on iOS. Netflix would distribute its games through the App Store, according to Mark Gurman's claim, and code unearthed by developer Steve Moser and shared with Bloomberg corroborated this.
