KATHMANDU, Oct 8: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced 14-member national futsal squad for the upcoming AFC Futsal Championship 2018 Qualification Tournament to be held in Iran from October 15-17.
The national futsal team, which is flying to Kyrgyzstan for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers, has been bid farewell by the All Nepal Football Association.
But, lately, the futsal culture is growing in different cities and even some underdeveloped towns of the country also.

CHANDRAGIRI, September 12: Chandragiri Municipality has bagged the title of Inter-Municipal Employee Friendly Futsal Tournament-2078 BS.
Chandragiri won the final match organized by Tarkeshwor Municipality at G-4 Futsal Ground at Tarkeshwor-10 on Saturday. Tarkeshwar, Chandragiri, Tokha and Kirtipur municipalities participated in the competition. Chandragiri came first, Kirtipur second and Tokha third respectively.
While handing out certificates to the winners, Tokha Mayor Prakash Adhikari and Administrative Officer Prakash Acharya said that the sports competition would be of great help in maintaining mutual coordination.
Tarkeshwor Mayor Rameshwor Bohara informed that the municipality has given priority to sports development in the city.
