Banke activists call off sit-in after 41 days

A group of 16 activists from Banke district ended their sit-in which they were staging at Maitighar Mandala, Kathmandu, after 41 days on Tuesday evening after inking a four-point deal with the government. The agreement was reached between the government talk committee led by joint-secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) Pradeep Koirala and Ruby Khan, an activist leading the protest. All hailing from Banke, they were staging the sit-in from November 25 demanding justice for the murder of Nankunni Dhobi and Nirmala Kurmi.
