KATHMANDU, July 6: Most of the places of the country would witness rainfall for next three days due to the influence of the Monsoon wind.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather across the nation would remain partly to generally cloudy and light to moderate rainfall has been predicted at many places.
The Department has requested all to adopt precautions as there is risk of landslide, soil erosion, increase in water level of rivers and streams, and daily life and transport service might be affected as there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at many places of the country.
Light to moderate rainfall is now taking place at a few places in Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
The sky across the country will remain generally cloudy in the night and light to moderate rain is likely to take place at some places in Gandaki and Sudurpaschim Provinces and at a few places in the remaining provinces.
KATHMANDU, July 3: The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in many places due to the influence of the monsoon wind, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The Department also maintained that there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces in the next 24 hours. It has cautioned against landslides, mudslide, soil erosion and a rise in water level in rivers and seasonal streams in the hilly region.
The Department has urged one and all to adopt alerts as the rain will likely affect daily life and the transport sector as well in these areas.
The weather will be partly to generally cloudy with chances of light to moderate rainfall at some places in the hilly region and at a few places in the rest of the country tonight. Heavy rain is predicted at one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
As per the latest weather information shared by the Department, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley was 21.0 degrees Celsius while the maximum was 28.8 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.
Similarly, the lowest minimum temperature 15.5 degrees Celsius throughout the country was recorded in Jumla while the highest maximum temperature 34.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Janakpur in the last 24 hours, the Department stated.
KATHMANDU, June 29: Heavy rainfall is likely to take place in some parts with partial to complete changes in weather condition across the country due to the effects of monsoon winds.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, heavy rainfall has occurred in the southern belt of Nepal towards the north from the monsoon low pressure line.
Weather conditions will however gradually improve from Friday onward, the Department informed.
The system is likely to bring light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in most of the parts of the country. Likewise, it will trigger heavy rainfall in some parts of province-1, Madhes province, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Heavy rainfall is predicted in some parts of Sudurpaschim province and Karnali province.
Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely to occur across the country at night.
According to the updated information of the Weather Forecast Division, rainfall was measured at 23.8 millimeter in Kaski, 42.1 in Dhangadhi, 31.6 in Biratnagar, 3.2 in Nepalgunj, 9.8 in Simara and 4.1 in Kathmandu.
