KATHMANDU, June 15: Jazeera Air’s flight was diverted to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa after it failed to land in the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning due to the bad weather condition.
The flight was headed for Kathmandu from Kuwait.
According to the general manager at the Gautam Buddha International Airport, Govinda Prasad Dahal, the flight landed there at 4:22 AM this morning. The aircraft had headed for Kathmandu at 6 AM and landed safely at TIA at 6:50 AM.
Prior to the operation of the Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, flights from Nepal used to be diverted for India.
