Curfew lifted in Malangwa, prohibitory orders in effect until September 13
SARLAHI, Sept 10: The curfew earlier imposed on Malangwa of Sarlahi district has been lifted. The District Administration Office (DAO), Sarlahi, has lifted the curfew imposed from Saturday and issued a prohibitory order for three more days.
The prohibitory order that had been enforced in Nepalgunj over the past week was lifted on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, December 28: The local administration of Siraha district has enforced a prohibitory order in the district beginning from 7 AM today which will end on 7 PM Wednesday.
A prohibitory order has been enforced following continuous protests and demonstrations by the Janamat Party-led by CK Raut.
The restrictions have been strictly imposed mainly in the sections of East-West Highway and the Siraha-Choharwa road sections from earlier this morning.
According to the district administration office, Siraha, the public have been barred to wander or gather in the restricted zones. “Gathering of more than five people and holding protests and demonstrations are strictly prohibited, '' reads a press statement issued by the local administration.
However, there won’t be any sort of restrictions in transportation activities, according to the chief district officer, Lal Babu Kawari. “Those defying the prohibitory orders have been warned of strict legal actions.”
KATHMANDU, July 23: With the gradual relaxation in prohibitory orders, the number of coronavirus cases has increased in the recent days.
The data from the Ministry of Health and Population reveal the increased number of cases after the government eased the prohibitory order due to crowds and poor implementation of the health protocol.
Ministry's Assistant Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said that more cases of coronavirus have been reported with the increased human mobility since last week.
Despite repeated calls to maintain health protocol, avoid crowds and social distancing, there is sheer negligence on the part of its implementation resulting in more cases of coronavirus.
"The infection rate is increasing. More cases are reported in the past one week," Dr Adhikari added. It is said that the coronavirus infection rate in Nepal at present is around 22 per cent. In the recent days, the number of infected ones is almost 3,000 a day.
The government on July 6 had relaxed the prohibitory order in the Kathmandu Valley while allowing the resumption of all sorts of businesses and ending the provision of odd and even number for vehicles
The Ministry has said that there are frequent violations of public health protocol.
Public health experts argue that there is risk of coronavirus infection in Nepal due to surge in coronavirus cases in India because of open border.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Population has warned of third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal.
It is said that the third wave of coronavirus is likely during September and October.
Issuing a press statement, the Ministry has urged all to be cautious realizing the possible outbreak of third wave of COVID-19.
The Ministry said that the coronavirus infection rate was on the rise with the loosening of lockdown in the country.
The Ministry has also instructed the health care institutions and hospitals and other agencies to remain alert and keep emergency and needed equipments including oxygen cylinders, beds, and medical supplies in ready position.
Dr Adhikari said that the third wave was more risky to children therefore ICU and emergency wards for children should be upgraded and kept in ready position realising the risk of possible outbreak.
DAMAULI, JUNE 2: Kidney survivors are facing trouble in dialysis in lack of blood at Kidney Treatment Centre in the Damauli Hospital.
Blood shortage has been surfaced since blood donation programmes are not taking place in the district due to coronavirus pandemic and subsequent prohibitory orders. Kidney patients requiring dialysis have been hit hard in lack of blood.
The dialysis patients are forced to arrange blood on their own. In-charge of Kidney Treatment Centre Shailendra Pandit shared that blood shortage was surfaced at the centre for no blood donation events due to enforcement of prohibitory orders.
“There used to be routine blood donation programme. But now problem has come to a fore due to unavailability of blood for treatment”, he said, adding the patients are obliged to find blood on their own.
Over one dozen districts of the country including the Kathmandu valley are in different kinds of lockdowns or prohibitory orders currently in their bid to control the spread of the coronavirus.
