Senior Advocate Bhattarai: Photos Publicized on Social Media Cannot Be Personal Privacy

Kathmandu. Senior advocate Tikaram Bhattarai has argued that a photograph publicized by an individual on social media cannot be a matter of personal privacy. While arguing in the habeas corpus writ filed by Janastha's Editor-in-Chief Kishor Shrestha, Senior Advocate Bhattarai stated that once a person publicizes a photograph or video themselves, it ceases to be personal. The writ was heard on Monday in a joint bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Balkrishna Dhakal.
