Pokhara Metropolis has provided incentive grants along with improved breed seeds to farmers who raise cattle.In the fiscal year 2081-82, an incentive amount of Rs 10,000 each was provided to 550 cattle farmers in 19 wards, totaling Rs 5.5 million. In the last fiscal year, improved breed seeds were distributed targeting the same farmers.Manohar Kadariya, Chief of the Agriculture Division of the Metropolis, said that incentive grants are provided to farmers who raise cattle to encourage them and preserve the traditional agricultural system.The trend of leaving land fallow has also decreased somewhat after farmers raising cattle started receiving grants....
