KATHMANDU, July 27: Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), has maintained that the Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS) of United States of America (USA) is turning the Indo Pacific into a volatile area.
Addressing the ‘webinar on adopting Marxism to the local context and needs of our times and award ceremony for the theoretical paper writers’, Chairman Nepal said that the United States is trying to dominate the whole world. “South Asia at present is facing a neoliberal capitalist crisis. There is increasing aggression of imperialist forces in the region. Therefore, it is very important for the left forces of the region to have strong solidarity and cooperation towards building internationalism and fighting together against imperialism.”
Likewise, Chair Nepal stated that China and Nepal have common problems as well as common challenges. “We are all envisioning a socialist society and fighting against the same enemy. But, people feel that we are disorganized. Therefore, I hope we have lots of things to share with each other, learn from each other's successes and weaknesses and should have more support and solidarity.”
“What I also think is that it is time to be more organized and active. It is the time to be more visible for all of us. The world demands internationalism, collectivism and solidarity. We must have healthy ideological debates which will be a step forward that will also build a foundation of stronger solidarity among us regionally and globally,” Nepal further said.
The web event was attended by leaders of the IDCPC, Communist and Left Parties of South Asia, delegates of South Asian Communist and Left Parties, leftist Intellectuals and other personnel of the International People's Assembly from different parties and countries outside South Asia.
