BUTWAL, June 13: A meeting of the Lumbini Provine Assembly has endorsed the policy and program of the province for the upcoming fiscal year 2021/22.  In the meeting held on Sunday, Speaker Purna Bahadur Gharti announced that the policy and program tabled by the provincial government was endorsed through a majority.  With this, the Shankar Pokharel-led Lumbini government can now introduce the annual budget for fiscal year 2021/22.  The Provincial government is required to table the annual budget for the next fiscal year on Ashar 1 (mid-June) as per the Intergovernmental Fiscal Arrangement Act- 2017.
