Meeting of ruling alliance underway at Baluwatar

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: A meeting of the ruling alliance – Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha Party – is currently underway at Baluwatar, Kathmandu. Key leaders of the coalition members along with other leaders are present at the meeting being held at the Prime Minister’s Office at Baluwatar. This is the first meeting of the ruling alliance after the announcement of the general election date. A Cabinet meeting held earlier on Thursday took a decision to hold the elections of federal and provincial level on November 20. The meeting will mainly focus on strategy for seat sharing in the upcoming polls.

Key leaders of ruling coalition at Baluwatar to discuss SPP

KATHMANDU, June 19: Key leaders of the ruling coalition have gathered at Baluwatar, Kathmandu to discuss the State Partnership Program (SPP) with the United States of America (USA). Leaders including Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal and Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party, Upendra Yavad among others are currently at the Prime Minister’s Office Residence at Baluwatar. In the earlier meeting held among the leaders, the leader had forged a conclusion that Nepal must send a letter  to the USA denying the agreement. Likewise, the International Relations Committee under the parliament has already directed PM Deuba not to sign any sort of agreement or understanding that stands against the non-alignment policy of the country during his upcoming visit to the USA.
