Work on a four-lane concrete bridge under construction on the Mahakali River in Kanchanpur, one of the largest projects in the far-western region, has been affected for three and a half months.
KATHMANDU, Jan 28: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) constituted a 37-member Central Work Performance Committee on Friday.
A virtual meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the party held on Friday afternoon formed the committee. Nine members of the 46-strong committee are yet to be inducted.
Friday’s meeting endorsed the 36-member committee proposed by President Sher Bahadur Deuba unanimously.
The committee includes President Deuba, vice-chairs duo Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dhanraj Gurung and two general secretaries --- Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma.
Similarly, joint secretaries Farmullah Mansoor, Umakanta Chaudhary, Mahalakshmi Upadhyaya, Bhisma Raj Angdembe, Mahendra Yadav, Kishor Singh Rathor, Badri Pandey and Jeevan Pariyar are also the members of the committee.
Similarly, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel, former vice-chairs Gopal Man Shrestha, Bimalendra Nidhi, Bijaya Gachchhadar and Prakash Man Singh are also named the members of the newly formed committee.
Likewise, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Dr Shashank Koirala, Chitra Lekha Yadav, Ram Sharan Mahat, Arjun Narasingh KC, Prakash Sharan Mahat, and Sunil Bahadur Thapa have also been picked as the members of the Central Work Performance Committee.
From amongst the CWC members, Dr Shekhar Koirala, Bal Bahadur KC, Balkrishna Khand, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Umesh Rijal, Naryan Khadka, Jip Chhiring Lama, Padma Narayan Chaudhary, Uma Regmi, NP Saud, Sujata Koirala, Aanand Dhungana and Jeevan Bahadur Shahi have been named the CWPC members.
