KMC issues 27-points guideline for schools to resume physical classes from Sunday

KATHMANDU, September 24: At the time when the schools and colleges in the Kathmandu Valley are resuming physical classes witnessing slight decrease in new COVID-19 cases, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has issued a 27-points guideline for schools to resume physical classes from coming Sunday. A meeting of the Education Committee of the metropolis took the decision to this effect on Wednesday and issued a 27-points guideline to follow compulsorily to resume physical classes in schools and colleges. The metropolis has made it mandatory for those who will be in close contact with students in schools to receive COVID-19 vaccine. Schools must conduct classes in shifts and maintain proper physical distance among students, reads the guideline. “Likewise, all the students must be sanitized and undergo thermal body temperature checks.” “Students must bring water and lunch for themselves from their own houses and must not be allowed to share their belongings, the guideline further reads.
