Major political parties commit to pass Citizenship Bill through parliament at the earliest
KATHMANDU, March 31: Top leaders of various seven political parties in parliament have expressed commitment to pass the Citizenship Bill through parliament as soon as possible.
President Ramchandra Paudel on Wednesday authenticated the Citizenship Bill, which former president Bidhya Devi Bhandari had kept on hold, but not without creating a stir among legal experts, political parties and the common people at large.
PARSA, July 27: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that an alliance should be made among the political parties so as to benefit the NC in the upcoming federal and provincial elections.
