Govt to introduce ordinance related to acid attack, sexual violence

KATHMANDU, March 31: The government has decided to introduce an ordinance related to acid attack and sexual violence. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday morning took a decision in this regard, according to Birod Kathiwada, Minister for Health and Population (MoHP). “After, the ordinance introduced by the erstwhile government has gone inactive, the present government is scheduled to introduce it once again as the government is facing challenges in taking action against those found guilty in acid attacks and sexual violence,” Minister Kathiwada said.
