Kathmandu, January 6 — The Supreme Court is holding a hearing on a corruption case filed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) regarding 280 ropani (approximately 14 hectares) of government land that was allegedly registered in an individual’s name.
The case is being heard by a full bench of Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut and Justice Sunil Kumar Pokharel.
The CIAA filed the corruption case in June 2013 against all employees, including the then Chief of Chainpur Land Revenue Office in Sankhuwasabha, for registering forest land by creating fake documents.
