As of 11:00 AM, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Kathmandu is 216, which is considered 'very unhealthy' for public health. Kathmandu is currently ranked second on the list of the world's most polluted cities. An AQI between 101 and 150 is considered 'unhealthy' for children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses. If the index reaches between 151 and 200, it becomes unhealthy for everyone.
