193 Nepalis in Ukraine come into contact with Embassy - Khabarhub
KYIV: As many as 193 Nepali nationals, who had been staying in war-torn Ukraine, have come into contact with the Nepali Embassy based in Berlin, Germany.
The Embassy of Nepal in Germany has issued an advisory to all the Nepali nationals living in Ukraine, saying their safety and safe passage to less risky areas of the western and southern territories is its first priority.
KATHMANDU, Feb 27: With the situation continuing to escalate in Ukraine following the invasion and attack by Russia, the Nepal Embassy in Berlin has urged all Nepali nationals in Ukraine to remain alert, safe, and strong, mentioning that the embassy is making efforts for their safe passage out of the conflict zone.
Embassy of Nepal in Berlin, Germany has said that all Nepalis who came into contact with the mission in the wake of the recent crisis in Ukraine are safe so far.
In a statement issued on Friday, it said that the efforts to obtain more information about the status of Nepali people in various cities in Ukraine are ongoing and 193 people have contacted the embassy.
KATHMANDU: Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has expressed concerns over the safety of Nepalis in Ukraine following the recent developments there.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday issued an advisory, requesting the Nepali nationals living in Ukraine to return home on commercial flights in view of worsening security situation there.
