KATHMANDU, July 20: Chitra Lekha Yadav has been appointed the chief whip of the parliamentary party of Nepali Congress (NC).
Prime Minister and Chairman of NC, Sher Bahadur Deuba made the appointment on Wednesday.
After Bal Krisha Khand's appointment as the Home Minister the post of the chief whip had gone vacant.
Likewise, Min Bahadur BK has been appointed to the post of whip. The post of the whip had gone vacant after Pushpa Bhusal was elected the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR).
KATHMANDU, July 17: Newly elected deputy speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Pushpa Bhusal took an oath of office and secrecy on Friday.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota administered the oath to Bhusal in presence of President Bidya Devi Bhandari amid an event held at the President's Office.
Bhusal, Nepali Congress’s leader, was elected to the post of deputy speaker on Friday.
