Rope barrier installed along footpaths encircling Singha Durbar and Baluwatar removed
KATHMANDU, Feb 29: The police have removed the rope barrier installed on the footpaths encircling Singha Durbar, Baluwatar and Federal Parliament House in Baneshwar.
Police have imposed a ban on walking on the footpath of Singha Durbar, Baluwatar and Baneshwar citing security reasons. After a group of microfinance victims entered the parliament building in New Baneshwar on Monday, the government decided to prohibit commuters from walking along the pavements siding the Singha Durbar, Baluwatar and Baneshwar.

KATHMANDU, April 20: The talks held between the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) on Wednesday to resume collecting garbage from Singha Durbar, Prime Minister’s Baluwatar residence and the Presidential residence ended without any conclusion. This has increased the conflict between the federal government and the Kathmandu Metropolis.
