KATHMANDU, Jan 9: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is currently in self-isolation after the chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal tested positive for COVID-19.
PM Deuba is in isolation after CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' tested positive for COVID-19, according to the PM’s secretariat.
Both PM Deuba and Dahal were present in a meeting of the ruling alliance and high level political coordination committee held in Baluwatar two days ago.
PM Deuba and other top leaders of the ruling parties were identified as contacts of Dahal after the latter tested positive for the virus.
Maoist Centre leaders Narayankaji Shrestha, Haribol Gajurel, Matrika Yadav, Dor Prasad Upadhyay, Ram Prasad Sapkota, Ramesh Malla and others have also tested positive for COVID-19.
Similarly, on Saturday, PM Deuba held a meeting with UML Chair Oli. In this view, UML Chair Oli is also among contacts of Dahal and Deuba.
