Mustard Production Declines in Chitwan Amid Unseasonal Weather
Chitwan. Mustard production has decreased in Chitwan. Compared to last year, productivity per hectare has also fallen this year. According to Nirmal Paudel, an agricultural economist at the District Agriculture Development Office, productivity has dropped to 1.01 metric tons per hectare this year, down from 1.31 metric tons per hectare last year. While the district produced 18,565 metric tons of mustard last year, this year's production stands at 14,315 metric tons.Mustard cultivation is being carried out in 14,173 hectares in the district. Taplejung. Pathibhara (Mukhumlung) collected over NPR 3.1 million in offerings during the month of Falgun. This amount was collected from the offerings made by devotees.According to the details published by the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, devotees offered NPR 3,110,000 at Pathibhara in Falgun.
