10,888 polling stations determined across the country
The Election Commission (EC) has determined a total of 10,888 polling stations across the country for upcoming elections to the members of the House of Representatives and province assembly set for November 20.
At least 4,289 dengue cases have been reported across the country.

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged one and all to apply precautions as the temperature across the country is dropping gradually.
Issuing a special bulletin on Wednesday, the Department has urged people to protect themselves from cold as chances are high for gradual decrease in the temperature due to the impact of westerly win in the country.
“The minimum temperature in the country is likely to decrease further while considering the recent patterns,” said the Department.
In the past 24 hours, the Kathmandu valley’s minimum temperature remained 9.0 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature was 22.0 degree Celsius, according to the Department.
Likewise, the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department said that hilly areas of Province 1, Gandaki and Karnali provinces are likely to remain partly cloudy while the mountainous regions of province 1, Gandaki and Karnali would remain mainly fair this afternoon.
SEP 11: Heavy rainfall is likely to take place in some parts with partial to general changes across the country.
According to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, light to moderate rainfall would occur with thunder and lightning in some parts of the country. Likewise, there is a chance of heavy rainfall in one-two areas of the Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is predicted in some areas of the mountainous belt of the country and limited areas of remaining provinces in the coming 24 hours, the Department said.
Likewise, one-two areas of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini province are likely to receive heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning.
The executing committee has announced that the committee is organising various protest programmes at different levels and will inform by releasing a press statement.

KATHMANDU, September 17: The Vishwakarma puja is being celebrated across the country on Friday.
Vishwakarma is regarded as the main craftsman and architect of Gods.
As per Hindu mythologies, Vishwakarma is the designer of all the flying chariots of the gods and goddesses. The ancient Hindu scripture reads that he engineered the weapons for the good. It is celebrated on Aswin 1 each year as per Nepali Calender.
The puja is generally conducted within the factory premises, workshops and public places as well. All the machines are worshiped along with the worship of Biswakarma.
People worship their vehicles. Red and white clothes are offered to machinery and vehicles decorated with festoons.
