Mandala Theatre-Nepal officially opens new comprehensive theatre space
Mandala Theatre-Nepal is officially opening its new and comprehensive theatre space 'New Mandala' on Thursday. The new theatre space is located at Thapagaun, Kathmandu.
The much-anticipated play Hari Hajurba is being premiered today at Mandala Theatre, Thapagaun. The play will be run every day accepts Monday till January 12. There will be two shows at 1 PM and 5:15 PM on Saturdays.
A special performance of the play ‘Masinya’ was staged at Mandala Theatre in Thapagaun on Wednesday. Distinguished figures from the realms of literature, art, music, politics and communication watched the play.
The second edition of the Nepal International Theatre Festival (NITFest), organised by Mandala Theatre, began on Friday.

KATHMANDU: Mandala Theatre an among has been showcasing ‘Antigone’ since Friday. The drama is an adaptation of a tragedy written by Sophocles in around 441 BC. What makes this Mandala Theatre production unique is that the adaptations were strictly based on the medium of expression. Within an hour and a half, the drama made spectators laugh, empathize and at times even shed a few tears.
