Independent candidate Hamal leading vote count in Dhangadhi sub-metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 14: Independent candidate for the post of mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City, Gopal Hamal is currently leading the vote count. Of 153 votes counted so far, Hamal has garnered 77 votes. His nearest contender was Nipra Bahadur Bada of Nepali Congress, who collected 35 votes.  Likewise, the UML candidate for the post has garnered only five votes so far. Likewise, Shanti Adhikari of CPN (Maoist Center) representing the ruling alliance garnered 48 votes followed by an independent candidate with 31 votes.

Independent candidate Rai leading vote count in Dharan sub-metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 19: Harka Rai, an independent mayoral candidate of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count as of 10 AM, Thursday. Rai has so far garnered 8,509 votes while his nearest contender Kishwor Rai of Nepali Congress has collected 8,362 votes. Likewise, Manju Bhandari of CPN-UML has secured 6,858 votes. Meanwhile, Aindra Bikram Bega, a candidate of CPN (Maoist Center) for the post of deputy-mayor, is currently leading the vote count with 9,430 votes.

KATHMANDU: Independent mayoral candidate of Kathmandu Metropolis, Balen Shah, is still leading the vote count securing 747 votes. His nearest rival Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML has so far got 545 votes. Likewise, Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Sirjana Singh has got 397 votes so far. Vote counting is underway.

KATHMANDU, May 14: Independent candidate for the post of mayor of Dhulikhel Municipality is currently leading the vote count of the local level polls. Bidur Bahadur Basnet, an independent candidate for the post of mayor of the municipality, has garnered 400 votes out of 900 votes counted so far. His nearest contender was Ashok Kumar Byanju, UML’s candidate for the post of mayor, collecting 343 votes. Meanwhile, candidate of the ruling alliance, Daya Sagar Shrestha collected 12 votes.
