KATHMANDU, March 10: As many as 14 people died in a bus accident in Thulung-6 of Madi Municipality of Sankhuwasabha district. Deceased have been identified as Bipin Niraula, 30 of Terhathum, the bus driver, and Umesh Bhattari, 35, of Madi-5, of Sankhuwasabha district. Besides, Sita BK, 30, Madi-6, Anjana Katuwal, 32, Diksha Katuwal, 5, Bhawani Prasad Dahal, 49, Deepak Kumar Dahal, 48 and Shyam Sherpa, 55 of Madi-5 also died in the accident. Similarly, those deceased also include Aita Bahadur Tamang and Bal Bahadur Karki, 60 and Sabita Karki, 28 of Madi 4 and Barshiya Indira Adhikari, 42, of Madi-2. Likewise, Samikshya Yonjan, 31 and Sudeep Ghising, 8 of Taplejung district also died in the same accident, according to DSP Laldwaj Subedi. The ill-fated bus ( Ba 4 Kha 735) en route to Dhamak, Jhapa met with an accident at around 7:30 AM on Thursday. Over speeding might have caused the accident, according to the police. Also, those injured in the accident have been identified as Subash Gole and Yuba Pokhrel of Madi-5 and Tulsa Katuwal, Ambika BK and Dambar Bahadur Karki of Madi-6.

KATHMANDU, March 10: Death toll in the Sankhuwasabha bus accident has reached 14. An ill-fated bus ( Ba 4 Kha 735) met with an accident at Thulung-6 of Madi Municipality killing 14 people so far, according to DSP Laldwaj Subedi, chief of the District Police Office. “Deceased people are yet to be identified.” The bus had plunged some 300 meters down the road. According to locals, the bus was carrying around 19 to 20 passengers.
