Now Indian states can do direct power trade with Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sep 23: In a bid that will bolster bilateral energy cooperation, now Indian states can directly buy electricity from Nepal. This agreement was reached during the 14th meeting of the Joint Technical Team ( JTT) on Wednesday in New Delhi, according to the Nepalese side.

Nepal, India agree on long-term power trade

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday said in New Delhi that Nepal had reached agreement with India on long-term power trade under which India would import 10,000 MW of power from Nepal in the next 10 years.
