At least 24 children have died in a fierce fire in Bukavu, an eastern city controlled by rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo.Two schools were destroyed in the fire, and about 300 wooden houses were burnt and destroyed.According to Dunia Masumbu Bwenge, Deputy Governor of South Kivu province, 19 of the deceased are female students and five are male students. An additional 29 people were injured in the incident.
