The government has held discussions with the secretaries of the line ministries for the effective implementation of the budget for the current fiscal year.
The government will not be able to spend the budget from Thursday due to the budget crisis as a result of a tussle between the government and the opposition parties.
KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said that the incumbent government will introduce a new budget to replace the annual budget which the erstwhile KP Sharma Oli issued through an ordinance.
Presenting an overall scenario of the country’s economic status at a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Tuesday, Sharma said that the new budget (which will replace the ordinance) will address the common minimum program of the ruling alliance, government's policies and programs, people’s aspirations and COVID-19 pandemic.
