The District Attorney’s Office of Kathmandu has returned the investigation report prepared by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police on the Lalita Niwas land scam.
Chief of the District Attorney’s Office of Kathmandu, Ganga Prasad Poudel said that the report was sent back as some of the issues were found to be insufficient in the investigation and some other issues needed additional investigation.
Deep Basnyat, a former chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, has gone incommunicado for the past few days as the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has expedited its probe into the notorious Baluwatar/Lalita Niwas land scam.
