Agitating students vandalize Nobel Medical College as they clash with security guards
BIRATNAGAR, Jan 9: A clash erupted between the agitated student protestors and security personnel at Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar on Sunday as the students refusing to pay additional fees were denied entry in the class.

काठमाडौं । रेटिङ कम्पनी इक्रा नेपालले नोबेल मेडिकल कलेज (Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital) को रेटिङ (Rating) घटाएको छ । इक्राले कलेजको दीर्घकालीन कर्जाको रेटिङ एल ट्रिपल बि माइनसबाट एल डबल माइनस र अल्पकालीन कर्जाको ए थ्रीबाट ए फोर प्लस रेटिङ दिएको छ ।
कलेजले इक्राबाट दुई अर्ब ५३ करोड रुपैयाँको दीर्घकालीन कर्जा र १५ करोड ७० लाख रुपैयाँको अल्पकालीन कर्जा गरी कुल २ अर्ब ६८ करोड कर्जाको लागि रेटिङ गराएको थियो । कलेजले यसअघि ३ अर्ब ६ करोड रुपैयाँ कर्जाको रेटिङ गराएको थियो ।
कलेजले सहायक कम्पनी नोबेल क्यान्सर अस्पताल प्राइभेट लिमिटेडमा पनि लगानी गर्नुका साथै सहायक परियोजनाको निर्माण कर्जाको ब्याज तिर्न नियमित रकम तिर्दै आएकाले रेटिङ घटेको रिपोर्टमा उल्लेख गरिएको छ ।
वित्तीय वर्ष २०२१ मा २ अर्ब २८ करोड रुपैयाँ सञ्चालन नाफा (Profit) गरेको कलेजको वित्तीय वर्ष २०२२ मा १४ दशमलव ८७ प्रतिशतले बढेर २ अर्ब ६२ करोड रुपैयाँ कायम भएको छ ।

The new batch of MBBS students at Biratnagar-based Nobel Medical College have been prohibited to attend classes after they denied paying the extra fess demanded by the college.
The Nobel Medical College (NMC) has been demanding an extra amount of Rs. 1 million from the students going beyond the fee ceiling set by the government.
The classes of the first year MBBS students was scheduled to start from December 5 but the demand for extra fees has upset the schedule.
The students have already deposited Rs. 1,478,675 in the account of Kathmandu University as the first instalment under the rule set by the government as per the National Medical Education Act.
However, the college is demanding more money under the heading of university affiliation fee and hostel fee.
