KATHMANDU, March 21: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MOEST) has requested the local levels to determine fees and enforce scholarships in private schools.

Rural municipalities of East Rukum unveil budget

EAST RUKUM, June 25: The local levels in East Rukum have brought their budget for the fiscal year 2021/022. Sisne Rural Municipality presented the budget of Rs 540 million. Of the total, Rs 333.4 million is for recurrent expenditure while Rs 206.6 million is for the capital expenditure, coordinator of Budget and Programme Formulation Committee and Rural Municipality’s Vice-Chairman Gobardhan Budha said. Similarly, Bhume Rural Municipality unveiled the budget of Rs 499.1 million for the fiscal year 2021/022.  Rural Municipality’s Vice-Chairperson Man Kumari Budha Bista tabled the budget allocating Rs 200.34 million for capital expenditure.   Likewise, Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality released the budget for the upcoming fiscal year allocating Rs 463.9 million in total, which is Rs 30 million more compared to the budget size of the current fiscal year.     Meanwhile, Patarashi Rural Municipality in Jumla district of Karnali Province has announced to provide scholarship to a student from the local level to study the medical science. The potential medical officer would be given scholarship, the seventh rural municipal assembly unveiled in its policy and programme. The COVID-19 pandemic has given a message to the rural municipality to teach a medical officer even in the scholarship.    The rural municipality released its policy and programme with focus on education, health care, power supply, communication an employment generation as well as agriculture and tourism. The rural municipality released its budget of Rs 411.2 million for the fiscal year 2021/022.
