Small Rivers in 24 Districts Face Moderate Flood Risk

Kathmandu. While the water flow in the main rivers of the country is normal, there is a moderate risk of flash floods in small rivers in 24 districts. According to the Flood Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the water level in Koshi, Narayani, Bagmati, Karnali, Mahakali, Kankai, Kamala, Babai, East Rapti and West Rapti and their tributaries is below the alert level as of this morning's measurement.Small rivers flowing through Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Dolakha, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur are likely to have a significant increase in flow today.
