Government to Form High-Powered Committee to Investigate Assets, Combat Corruption

Kathmandu. The government is set to form a powerful committee within 15 days to end the rampant corruption, asset concealment, and impunity prevailing in the country. The committee will include experts from the fields of law, finance, revenue, and investigation, along with representatives from relevant agencies, as mentioned in the governance reform agenda made public by the government today.The committee will, in the first phase, collect, verify, and investigate the asset details of office bearers of major political parties and high-ranking officials who held public office from 2062/63 BS to the present, 2082/83 BS.
