China Sees Significant Rise in High-Tech Foreign Investment Despite Overall Decline

Government data shows that although overall foreign direct investment in China has decreased in the first eight months of this year, foreign investment in high-tech related industries has increased significantly.According to China's Ministry of Commerce, actual utilized foreign direct investment in high-tech industries from January to August increased by 35.1% to 200.26 billion yuan. This amount is equivalent to approximately 29.66 billion US dollars.Investment in the high-tech sector accounted for 41.7% of China's total foreign direct investment during this period.
