Kathmandu, Nov 5: French photographer and filmmaker Eric Valli is best known for capturing the lives of Himalayan communities in Nepal and their deep connection with nature. Born in France in 1952, Valli has been working extensively in South Asia, especially Nepal, since the 1980s. In 1999, he directed the internationally acclaimed film 'Caravan: Himalaya' which vividly portrayed the hardships, traditions, and spirit of life in the high mountains.
