Jhapa. A prisoner serving a sentence in the Jhapa District Prison has died during treatment. The 64-year-old Chandrakumar Ghimire, a resident of the former Nagi VDC-9 in Panchthar, died this morning during treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamod, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa. Ghimire, who was serving a 10-year sentence for a rape case, was taken to Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur, on the evening of Jestha 7 after experiencing respiratory problems.
