Man Arrested in Kathmandu for Allegedly Defrauding Victim of NPR 435,000 with False Cambodia Job Offer

Kathmandu. Police have arrested an individual for defrauding a person by promising employment in Cambodia with the lure of an attractive salary. A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, apprehended 41-year-old Babilaal Lama of Thori, Parsa, from Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.Preliminary police investigation shows that Lama extorted 435,000 rupees from the victim by tempting them with the prospect of high earnings in Cambodia.
