China's leading aerospace program's pioneering scientist Liu Jiayuan has died at the age of 93.China's major space contractor China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation informed on Wednesday that he died.Born in 1933, Liu died in Beijing on Monday due to illness, the organization stated.In his scientific career of about four decades starting from 1960, Liu developed and led the control systems of China's first-generation strategic weapons and launch vehicles.He was particularly known as an expert in missile and rocket control technology.
