Visit Scheduled for Thursday Afternoon
Speaker of Parliament, Devraj Ghimire, will visit the Parliament building that was set on fire during the Jana Andolan (People's Movement). His secretariat has announced that the visit is scheduled for Thursday at 12 PM noon.
Background of the Damage
The Parliament building, along with other government and private offices and institutions, was set ablaze during the protests on Bhadau 24 (in the Nepali calendar). The fire also affected buildings including Singha Durbar and the Supreme Court.
