Dhanuta Municipality has started turmeric cultivation on vacant land along the roadside with the objective of encouraging local farmers and community forest groups in productive agriculture.Along with turmeric cultivation, with the aim of making the roadside green, clean, and attractive, turmeric cultivation has been done in the Saraswati Chowk-Salleri section of the municipality along the Koshi Highway.Turmeric has also been planted along the edges of various internal roads within the city, informed Upendra Khanal, head of the municipality's environment branch.
