Kathmandu. Following the clearance of the squatter settlement in Thapathali, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City is now set to deploy bulldozers to the squatter settlement located in the Gairigaun area. According to the Chief of the Metropolitan Police Force, Bishnu Joshi, the demolition is scheduled to take place today.The Metropolitan Police stated that while the Thapathali settlement consisted of temporary structures made of bamboo and corrugated sheets, the Gairigaun area includes permanent buildings, necessitating additional manpower for the operation.
