Kathmandu, Nov 3: The Department of Passport has made it clear that it will distribute 1,000 passports daily. The Department, through a notice, announced that passports will be available daily from today (except on public holidays).
The Department has already signed a procurement agreement in Saun with a new supplier for electronic passports and, according to the agreement, new infrastructure and systems are being put in place to start passport services from February 23, 2026, the press release issued today stated.
