The influential team of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has announced the retirement of the 'Number 12' jersey, which was used by their former all-rounder Andre Russell, in his honor. No player from KKR will wear this jersey number henceforth, a gesture made to recognize Russell's unparalleled contribution to the team.Russell remained a key pillar for KKR throughout his long tenure from 2014 to 2025.
